Roman Catholic Cathedral “St. Anthony of Padua” Arad is a place of worship in the city built between 1902-1904 by Milan Tabacovici, an architect from Arad. It was consecrated in 1911. The construction is a harmonious mix of elements representing the Classical, Baroque and Renaissance styles.
The main entrance is made of four massive columns and above the entrance is a statue copy of Michelangelo’s Pieta.
The nave is 43 m long and 17 m wide and the cross on the dome is 56 meters high.
Orga from the interior of the cathedral has a particular resonance, beeing the largest church organ in Arad.
